Stryker to Acquire Mobius Imaging and Cardan Robotics

Stryker announced plans to acquire both Mobius Imaging, LLC and its sister company Cardan Robotics in an all-cash transaction valued at $370 million upfront and up to $130 million in development and commercial milestone payments. Mobius offers point-of-care CT imaging technology, and Cardan Robotics is developing robotics and navigation technology systems for surgical and interventional radiology procedures. Stryker plans to introduce these technologies within their spine division, where they will be utilized in their intra-operative imaging product suite and complementary to existing implant and navigation offerings.

The transaction is expected to close in 4Q:19.
