Monteris Medical is a neurosurgery technology company that develops and markets a breakthrough FDA-cleared MRI-guided robotically-controlled minimally-invasive system for neurosurgery. The Company’s core technology uses a directed laser to ablate brain lesions, including primary and metastatic tumors or diseased tissue implicated in epilepsy. This surgical approach provides a benefit for patients by avoiding the invasiveness of an open neurosurgical procedure (“craniotomy”).
InnovaHealth Partners invested in Monteris in September 2022. The two InnovaHealth board seats are held by Mortimer Berkowitz III and John McCormick, and Richard Emmitt is lead director.
